Olivia’s Beautiful Daughter
Our Story
A Mother’s Story
We are just an average, middle-class family who did our very best to raise our kids with love, faith, and guidance. Like so many parents, we believed that if we worked hard and poured into our children, they would have every chance to thrive. And yet, despite all our efforts, my daughter, Olivia Kaye, struggled with mental health challenges and substance use.
Olivia was smart, beautiful, funny, and so easy to love. People were drawn to her light, her laughter, and her personality. She seemed to have so much going for her—but behind that radiant smile, she carried pain and struggles that even those closest to her couldn’t fully see. On April 10, 2024, we lost Olivia to fentanyl, and our world was forever changed.
Her story is a reminder that this can happen to anyone. Substance use and mental health struggles do not discriminate—they touch families of every background, every community, and every walk of life. That is why it is so important for us, as a society, to come together in a compassionate, non-judgmental way. We must take the time to truly see people, to meet them where they are in life’s journey, and to support one another with love and understanding.
From the heartbreak of losing Olivia, the Olivia Kaye Organization was born. Our hope and our mission are simple: to be a safe place. To bring light where there seems to be only darkness. To bring hope to those who feel there is none. To honor Olivia’s life by working toward a future where no parent, no child, and no family has to endure this kind of loss.
Olivia’s light will never fade. Through this organization, her story continues—not as an ending, but as the beginning of change.
With hope and determination,
