About Us
The Olivia Kaye Organization was born from both heartbreak and hope—the devastating loss of my beautiful daughter, Olivia, to Fentanyl poisoning on April 10, 2024. Through Olivia’s struggles with mental health and substance use, I witnessed firsthand the pain caused by stigma, misinformation, and lack of support. No one should have to face these battles alone.
Losing her was the hardest moment of my life, and continues to be a struggle of emotions I feel everyday. In her memory, I have found a purpose: to fight for awareness, education, and change.
Our vision is to foster a compassionate community where youth feel empowered to seek guidance without the fear of judgement. We envision a community where the stigma of mental health and substance use is recognized as any other illness. While intervention is important, we envision a community where prevention is a priority.

Olivia and I shared a love for sunrises. In the last few months of her life, we often exchanged photos, and I would remind her that each sunrise was a gift– another chance to begin again. April 10th was the last sunrise Olivia saw, but many still have the privilege of witnessing them. Let’s honor her by bringing light where darkness once was.

Carrie Bolen
President / Founder
As the founder and President of the Olivia Kaye Organization, Carrie brings both personal passion and professional experience to the organization’s mission. Beyond honoring her daughter’s memory, she is mother and grandmother, having an understanding of the trials youth face as they grow. Carrie has a deep-rooted commitment to supporting youth and families.
Carrie oversees the Putnam County Coats for Kids program, ensuring children have the essentials needed. Her background as a middle school Instructional Assistant in the local school system gives her hands-on experience working with youth, and as a former owner of licensed childcare facilities, she understands the importance of early intervention and support to children and families.
Carrie is involved in the local Prevention, Intervention and Education (P.I.E) Coalition which gives her further opportunity to educate youth, through her own experience, the importance of good mental health and the reality of substance use.
Additionally, her role as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) she advocates for children in need, reinforcing her dedication to standing with our most vulnerable. Carrie became a Parents of Addicted Loved Ones (PAL) facilitator shortly after her daughter’s death, giving her the ability to provide education and hope to parents in a position she once found herself in.
Carrie strives to create meaningful change through her work and interactions in the community.
Craft
For everyone struggling with addiction, there is a family suffering and in need of help. CRAFT is a family group program that provides families with support, education, and tools to help themselves, their families, and their affected loved one. CRAFT group is a SAFE space where each member protects the confidentiality of fellow group members and where all treat one another with dignity and respect. CRAFT‘s three main goals: 1) Reduce the affected loved one’s harmful substance misuse, 2) Engage the loved one into treatment, and 3) Improve the family member and loved one’s family functioning.
Craft is a certification that is obtained through training from Overdose Lifeline.

Hannah Peterson

Hannah is not only a dedicated mother of two but also the older sister of Olivia. She’s always been protective, and since Olivia’s passing, Hannah has made it a priority to keep her sister’s memory alive. Her role in her family reflects her nurturing and supportive nature, which she also brings into her professional life.
With years of experience in the administrative healthcare industry, Hannah excels at leading projects, ensuring efficiency, and creating systems that benefit both her colleagues and the individuals she serves. Her organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage complex tasks have made her a valuable asset in her field.
Above all, Hannah is committed to her family and her work, finding strength in her roles as a mother and sister, while continuing to honor Olivia’s legacy.
Rico Wilson
Treasurer
Rico graduated from Tri-West High School in 2019. Before he graduated, Rico and his high school sweetheart, Olivia, welcomed their beautiful daughter, Londyn Elizabeth, into the world. Becoming a father was one of the proudest moments of his life.
In 2020, Olivia began struggling with her mental health, which led to substance use. As she battled these challenges, Rico took on the responsibility of being a single dad to Londyn. It hasn’t always been easy, but Londyn has been a guiding light and inspiration through every step.
Olivia’s story is one of both love and loss. She has left a void that can never truly be filled. To honor her memory and ensure Londyn grows up knowing the love Olivia had for her. Rico is committed to the Organization’s mission in hopes of a brighter future, where children like Londyn, don’t have to grow up without their parents.

Starr and Olivia met in 2016, their freshman year of high school. Both of them were new students at Tri-West. They instantly clicked and became best friends. Starr and Olivia never left each other’s sides for over 6 years of friendship. Starr was like an aunt to Londyn. The three of them were with each other almost everyday for the first two years on Londyn’s life.
Starr continues to spread awareness as our Social Media Manager for the Olivia Kaye Organization.

Stacey L.
Stacy Lindenmayer is a dedicated member of the Putnam County community, where she has lived for 27 years. A mother of three—Robert, Lainey, and Piper—Stacy’s life has been deeply rooted in family, with Carrie and her family playing an important role in her children’s upbringing. Having spent the past 30 years in healthcare, Stacy has a unique understanding of the importance of care, empathy, and support.
Over the years, Stacy had the privilege of knowing Olivia for much of her life, and she has witnessed firsthand the challenges of mental health struggles. Both of Stacy’s older children have faced mental health battles, with one enduring multiple hospitalizations and the other grappling with substance use during their early teens. These personal experiences have fueled Stacy’s passionate commitment to supporting others who are facing similar difficulties.
For Stacy, her dedication to this foundation runs deep. She believes that no one should have to face their struggles without the resources, care, kind words, or love they deserve. Her work is driven by the belief that everyone matters, and no matter the hardship, there will always be someone to offer help and compassion.
